Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

Welcome from the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. We look forward to working with you to ensure that your Cal Poly experience is exceptional in every way. As Provost, I provide guidance and support for the leadership teams, faculty, and staff in all six academic colleges, and for several offices that support students throughout their time at Cal Poly (e.g., Admissions, Financial Aid, the Mustang Success Center, Records and Registration, and others). Academic Affairs also includes International, Graduate and Extended Education, the Office for Research and Economic Development and the Library.

We have a great many projects and initiatives in the works that you will see unfold during your time at Cal Poly—all designed to enhance the experience of students, faculty, and staff. It’s a very exciting time to be a Mustang! We look forward to working both with you and for you.

FIRST WALK OCTOBER 4

Make the most of the beautiful campus we work on, grab a colleague and meet up with Provost Kathleen Enz Finken for her Wednesday Walks. The weekly walks start at 12:10 p.m. outside the Administration Building (No. 1), head down North Perimeter Road to California Boulevard, and return on South Perimeter Road. The walk takes approximately 30 minutes at a moderate pace. Everyone is welcome and may join in at any point along the route. In the event the provost is off campus, another member of the executive leadership team will lead the walk.

* Rain or inclement weather will cancel the walk.

Questions may be directed to the Office of the Provost, 756-2186.
